Imperial Homestead Carnival Glass Smoke Color Chop Plate – Circa 1951-1972
Sunday, November 15th, 2009

Imperial’s No. 524 also know as Homestead Chop Plate was described in some detail in the June 13, 1912 issue of Crockery and Glass Journal: “This is a plaque bearing a picturesque scene of an old fashioned American homestead by the side of a stream. An artistic rustic bridge crosses the water, under which are ducks peacefully enjoying a swim.” This Smoke colored Imperial Chop Plate lives up to this description with ease; lovely iridescence, exquisite pattern definition and mold strike. This Plate measures 10″ in diameter, bears the I over G trademark. Circa 1951-1972 and is in very good condition with no nips, chips or flaws of any kind. This would make a wonderful addition to any Imperial collection or would be perfect for gift giving. This Item Can Be Referenced in Warman’s Carnival Glass 2nd edition, page 224 – $325-625
